A Day in the Life of: Rob Savers Supervisor

Welcome to ‘a day in the life’ edit at Savers, where we follow different staff members to show you what it is really like to work for one of the best discounters on the high street.

This time we meet Rob, a Supervisor from Southend, a gorgeous seaside town right on the southeast coast of England. Rob is very passionate about Savers and has one of the best Store TikTok accounts. A right influencer in the making!

• The dreaded alarm goes off! I am not a morning person but one cuppa later and I start to feel a bit more human and ready for the great day ahead.

• I arrive in store, looking sharp and smelling fresh to greet our customers. I have a natter with my managers Mark and Elaine and come up with a game plan of how to have a brilliant day of sales.

• Our Savers store opens; I welcome customers in with a smile, hand them a basket and a drop of hand sanitizer to ensure they are safe around store.

• I pop on the tills to help my team out, always serving some positivity along with our great products! I will offer our amazing fragrance deals to anyone I serve to make sure they don’t miss out on any of our fab bargains.

• You would think it would be lunch time, but not for me! Things really start to heat up in store at lunch so I will work through mine to ensure we have satisfied customers.

• After the lunch time dash, the shelves tend to look bare so, I start helping my team fill shelves.

• MY LUNCH! A well-deserved one too! My favourite go-to is a Chicken Salad Sandwich from the shop round the corner and of course some sort of energy drink which is totally bad for my health but too good to resist!

• Time to check emails and anything on the Savers communications portal to ensure we implement everything we need to, update leaflets or posters etc.

• Closing time! As we let the last of the brilliantly satisfied customers out the door, it is also time to let the delivery in! We get several deliveries a week as we can get very busy during the day. My team Elie, Dom and Jordan ensure cages are worked and put away, so the store is safe the next morning. I will be well tucked up in bed by the time they finish!

• Tiktok filming will mostly take place after hours. Our team loves a good boogie and creating content!

• I am then ready to put the barrier down and go home. Ready to do it all over again in the morning!

We asked Rob what his top picks would be for Health, Home and Beauty. Here’s what he said

1: For health it has to be Vitstore Energy release! Definitely need it with my fast-paced days!

2: I love Comfort Blue Skies! It is such a staple in my house and at such a great price it is a no brainer really!

3: For me, my hair is so important, and I always use Shock waves Ultra Strong Power Gel to keep my hair in place while I am busying away around store! I look as fresh as I did at opening time when I am closing up!
