In 2019, we banned the sale of all products containing rinse off micro-plastics to help decrease the damage caused to our oceans by plastic materials. In 2020, we’ve reached an amazing milestone of raising over £2 million for our chosen charity partner Marie Curie, who are devoted to providing crucial end of life care for terminally ill patients.

We’ve switched our energy provider to a zero carbon 100% renewable supply and signed up to the Social Mobility Pledge to ensure we offer career opportunities to more people. Our CSR plan is aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and with this website, you can stay up to date with the latest news affecting our colleagues, customers and community.

Our Charity Partner - Marie Curie

Savers has been partnered with Marie Curie since 2013, for what was a initially a two-year partnership.

Thanks to the passionate support of colleagues and customers,
Savers has now raised over £2.4 million for Marie Curie to help provide a year of care from
126 Marie Curie Nurses, so more families can get the support they need when facing terminal illness.

Since 2013, Savers colleagues across stores and head office have put phenomenal effort into fundraising
with sponsored challenges ranging from the London Marathon, Great Wall of China trek, the Yorkshire Three
Peaks to body waxing and baked bean baths! Our store teams hold monthly fundraisers, including bake
sales, fancy dress, cycle-thons, and games with customers. We’re a key supporter of Marie Curie’s annual
Great Daffodil Appeal and our suppliers support our partnership through commercial campaigns.

We’re proud to be continuing our partnership with Marie Curie for 2020-21
and supporting more families through terminal illness.

Our brand-new partnership campaign, #lovethesmallthings, is all about celebrating the little things that
make a big difference when you’re going through difficult times. We’re launching new activities this year that
encourage colleagues and customers to treat themselves with care, to not be afraid to ask for help, and to
focus on the small things that mean the most when facing grief and bereavement.

Give a Smile

With the aim to put a smile on people’s faces, not only our customers, but also the people who most need a helping hand, A.S. Watson Group has launched its first-ever global signature CSR programme “Give a Smile”.

Partnered with Operation Smile, the “Give a Smile” campaign has funded surgery for over 1,500 children with cleft palate or cleft lip since its launch in 2018, giving them new smiles and fresh hope. Savers, as one of the A.S. Watson retail brands, has joined hands together to support this campaign, enabling children with cleft palate or cleft lip to smile for the first time. Join us to

About Operation Smile

Established in 1982, Operation Smile is an international medical charity that has provided over
270,000 free surgeries for children and young adults in developing countries who are born with cleft
lip, cleft palate or other facial deformities.

As one of the largest medical volunteer-based non-profits,
Operation Smile has mobilized thousands of medical volunteers from a wide range
of medical specialties from more than 80 countries.

In 2019 one of our employees took part in a Medical Mission to Thailand.
