    IMPORTANT: If any spillage occurs, wash away with hot water as soon as possible. In the event of spillage on the outside of appliance, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth. Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Wear protective gloves/eye protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POSION CENTRE or doctor. Contains Lactic Acid.

    Refer to manufacturer’s instructions before descaling any appliance

  6. For Kettles 1. Half fill your kettle with water and boil. Place it, unplugged, in an empty sink. Carefully add the whole contents of the sachet.
  7. 2. If there is any scale left, gently reheat the solution until it fizzes, but be careful not to boil
  8. Carefully pour away, rinse out the kettle with cold water, fill with clean water and boil, then rinse again.
  9. For Steam Irons 1. Heat iron until hot to the touch and unplug (make sure your iron is turned off during descaling). Pour the SLAM descaler into a jug and carefully pour into your iron’s water chamber. Top the chamber up with tap water and set your iron to the steam position, but do not turn the iron on.
  10. 2. Place your iron in an empty plastic bowl, warm plate down. Gently shake it until the solution begins to drain out through the steam holes. Leave for approximately 8 minutes, or until empty. Pump any leftover solution through if your iron has a spray button.
  11. 3. Rinse the iron through with cold water, drain it and dry. Make sure the solution is completely out of the iron by testing on a spare piece of fabric before using.
  12. For all other appliances please refer to the packaging for further instructions.
  13. We recommend you give your appliances a SLAM once every 3 months in a hard water area, or you can descale every 6 months if you’re lucky enough to have soft water. Damage caused by limescale is sometimes only visible after descaling — SLAM will not have caused any damage.
